Groningen, here I come!

Philippe arrived today at Groningen and I think he enjoys his stay very much. His blog (in German) can be found here: http://philgroningen.wordpress.com/ I'm sure he'll add pictures soon.

I decided to visit him during Easter holidays, we have 2 weeks off at our university. Going to Groningen by train takes 11 hours or even more, changing trains at least one time... and it's not cheap. I checked some low-cost airlines, but going to Vienna by car: 200km one way. Count 40 € for petrol, 66 € for parking (that's the price for 1 week, I want to stay 10 days, so count more) and the cheapest fight I got was one from Skyeurope for 100 €.

I found a nice offer by Lufthansa. I booked now Linz-Frankfurt-Amsterdam for March 18th and Amsterdam-Munich-Linz for March, 28th. I'm excited. I'm afraid of flying but somehow I enjoy the whole atmosphere at the airport and in the plane.

And I love looking up in which planes I'll travel :-)
